Let’s face it—we all know each other. We’re all one freak blob blown to pieces that have grown legs and sprouted setae (look it up) and are roaming this earth—well, just Philly—in a sci-fi version of the prophecy of Kevin Bacon. Let’s face it, we all know each other. We’ve all touched the same Commerce Bank pen. But I’m no hub. A hub is something altogether different than you or me. A hub is one of the bigger pieces of blown-up blob, a most mentioned person in the city—someone who, through their art or work or libido or just sheer will of personality, does more than normal people to connect everybody. What follows are six of the hubbiest people I know. My theory is that you’ll know at least one of them. And if you don’t, you’re not a real Philadelphian—harsh, but, whatever, get with it.
