Overly-keen “battlefield recreation” contractors at the Imperial War Museum forgot to stop at the museum gates. The resultant concrete crime-fest is the dystopian ‘Clockwork’ Elephant. True, it has something of Berlin about it—but that’s Berlin 1945. Bunker down in Dragon Castle with resigned LCC media lecturers for surprisingly good Chinese food, or tunnel out to Kennington’s Prince of Wales as you salute the budding redevelopers’ optimism.
