Marylebone (West)
Marylebone: old money meets the Middle East. Smell the mulah around Montague Square, sample hookahs and kebabs further towards Edgware Road. The Lebanese at Beirut Express can’t be beat but shop at Maroush Deli if you want to cook at home. Wow friends at Nippon Tuk before mooching to Sequoia@RubyLo where you can bump, grind, get fuzzy on cocktails, and crash on the couches.

Duke of York
The Paddingston/Marylebone area is a strange neighbourhood, where it is easy to imagine that the only residents of Ambassadors and Arabian princes. But some regular folk do live here too and besides their W1 postcode, I envy them having The Duke of York as their local. Behind its unassuming exterior, this is a real gem of a pub. It is a great pub for any sports lover as more often than not, the two screens are showing some sport and the landlord, Bevan, an Aussie, can always be relied upon for some good humoured banter, especially if cricket is on. But even if you aren't the sport-watching type, there is more to recommend this pub. Pimms served by the pint in summer. The Thursday night quiz. And the chips. The menu looks to be pretty standard pub grub--fish & chips, pies, chicken etc, but the chips are the best I've ever had. It may be in the hint of black pepper that gives them the edge.
