Stockwell has turned from dodgy to lively without losing character. If you can ignore the crack dealers outside KFC then the same can be said of Brixton. Brixton Market is an institution and a great taste of Caribbean flavour. At night, avoid the sweaty, heaving Swan at Stockwell unless desperate. Plan B is a decent option but you might need ear plugs.
