Carrollton/Riverbend
When the New Orleans and Carrollton Railroad laid some tracks between the two towns, it produced the quintessential suburban "bedroom" community. Now often regarded as part of "Uptown" it's really not. Sure it has lots of great architecture, but with cooler hangouts and fewer social climbers. The Oak Street and Maple Street corridors are a diverse collection of hip shops, restaurants and of course the noteworthy Maple Leaf Bar (remember, it's on Oak St!).
