Le taxidermiste Deyrolle
How difficult to describe this place in a few words...
If you have only 2 hours to stay in Paris, it's THE place you have to see. Forget museums, galleries, and fancy shops. Deyrolle is all-inclusive. I usually go there on a monthly pilgrimage. Just climb the stairs and you'll be in the hall of marvels. No need for a wand or a DeLorean to race back to a 19th century Cabinet of Curiosities. Menagerie of majestic stuffed animals like lions, zebras, or monkeys seem to poke from every corner. Collections of birds, fossils, bones, and bugs are housed in a series of old high windows, from Chevron hardwood floors to decorated ceilings.
In February 2008, this nugget nearly disappeared in a heavy fire. But Deyrolle has many lovers all over the world and succeeded in restoring his collection. Thank God!
So if I have to choose an adjective in NFT options for a review, sorry to tell you that "amazing" is not strong enough. Maybe fantastic, magical, mysterious, inspiring, weird, fabulous, fascinating, exotic, supercalifragilis...
