Somewhere in the frozen Siberian tundra, the ghost of the USSR's Politburo bounces between craggy icebergs along with old radio frequencies and episodes of America's Funniest Home videos. Flash to a thousand billion miles away in Brooklyn where the ghost of the Politburo is doused in a hefty helping of robot kitsch, Hip-Hop aesthetic, and vodka...ahem...under the guise of a bar and venue called Sputnik. Surprisingly hipsters don't flock to the bar, floating through the air, nose drawn back, and smelling of liquor and kitsch. Rather, the number of bodies in the bar tends to stay at a pleasant number and the hip-hop and dub acts that frequent the place are better than your run of the mill hipster-hop acts that bounce between venues in Williamsburg. So get out and away from the re-runs of kids racking themselves on trampolines. Drinking vodka is always a better idea.
