Sunday brunch at Tabard Inn is for special occasions. For one thing, it’s rather difficult to get in without a reservation. It’s not unpleasant to sit in the cozy, old-fashioned sitting room watching people come and go, but the smell of food coming from the dining room can be torture if you’re hungry. And you should only go if you’re hungry. The portions are generous (in addition to being very tasty) and you will definitely want to order the homemade donuts as a starter. So plan ahead and make an occasion to try it out. The waiting is worth it.
