Tucked into a massive old factory building in the SoWa district of the South End is a gallery called Samson Projects. Within Boston’s thick arms of conservative art, this two-year-old gallery gleams like a brilliant and precocious child destined for great things. Curator Camilo Alvarez presents contemporary work of both the unknown and the already acknowledged, ranging from delicate watercolors to vibrant, extraterrestrial sculptures. Regardless of what is in the gallery space, it will likely be something that you haven’t seen before. A new exhibit will open on the 17th (lasting until April 22), featuring the work of Taylor Davis, whose wood sculpture draws heavily from agrarian structures.
