What’s better than a really cool history talk? A really cool history talk with free beer. That’s right, dear friends, free beer. And I’m not talking about a keg of Natty Ice—I’m talking about good beer from a legitimate brewery. Because, well, the talk was at a legitimate brewery. See, this past Saturday I went to Yards Brewery to see Rich Wagner, a local brewery historian, give a retrospective slideshow of his popular tours of Philadelphia brewery buildings. The talk was interesting, the beer was delicious, and perhaps best of all: there’s another talk coming up in November about the rise and fall of Schmidt’s. Can’t wait until November for free beer?
