Cantina Los Cabalitos
When someone mentions South Philly cuisine, you automatically think of heavyset balding men cooking some sort of pasta while singing That’s Amore. Or you think of dueling cheesesteak joints that have ridiculous amounts of tourists and suburbanites waiting in line. Now you can add tart, eye-scrunching margaritas to your stereotypes of South Philly. Los Caballitos Cantina, the gigantic bright orange building located on the corner of Morris and Passyunk, serves up an assortment of the fruit-and-tequila-infused adult beverages that will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. If you manage to tear yourself away from the bar, check out the menu and order some nachos or a quesadilla from one of the adorable hipster servers. It’ll help sop up all that tequila so you won’t be totally useless at work the next day.
