Last Word Bookshop
The Last Word is just that–there is no better used bookshop in the city. It caters to customers with great hours (opened from 10 am-10 pm everyday and any other time store owner and book baron Larry feels like opening the doors) and walls (and shelves and tables and random stacks) loaded with loot that your inner treasure hunter will beg to peruse in leisurely fashion. Then again, if efficient shopping is necessary, quickly check the shelves–and if that fails, ask Larry where you can find that book of Wendell Berry essays you feel must be around somewhere, follow him to a random stack on the floor and watch in awe as he pulls it out from the middle. The preceding is a personal experience. It was awesome.
