3rd Street Gallery
I had a ten-minute nose bleed in the bathroom at Skinner’s. I used the whole roll of toilet paper and all their paper towels. I don’t get Faulkner, I never finished Midnight’s Children, and I broke somebody’s piano. There. Now you know everything. Ok, you go. Or, at least, that’s the idea. Place Holdings is a citywide divulgation event that everyone can participate in. Simply drop off your confession at one of twelve drop-boxes (the website lists their locations) across the city. The top-secret slips, amassing amazingly so far, will then be incorporated into an art installation at 3rd Street Gallery. The pseudo, new wave, neo-non-priests are Darcy and Michael Sebright, Andrew Hart, and Jeremy Proffitt, a group of local artists who want to upchuck the undercurrent of Philadelphia voices. I urge you, for coolness’ sake, to be one of them.
