If you’ve ever had to ride the bus to an unfamiliar section of Philadelphia or its outlying suburbs, then you probably know how much the Septa website sucks. Which is a shame, because mass transit in the city is actually pretty OK; as long as you already know exactly which bus route you have to take. For those of us lacking this certainty, Septa’s website offers little hope, since it lacks a comprehensive bus route map. Instead, one must browse through over 100 individual route maps and hope top find the right one before going crazy. Sheesh! But fear not, oh legions of carless bus-dependents, there is hope. And this hope is to be found at the Septa Transit Store, wherein one can swap ten bucks for a fabulously comprehensive area transit map full of bus, trolley, and rail routes in the city and even way out to those weird suburbs you’re always wondering about. So stroll down to the shop, get a map, and you’ll be all ready to plan that trip out to Bala-Cynwyd that you’ve been putting off for so long.
