Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts
A Pennsylvania Academy of Art tradition returns during the 106th Annual Student Exhibition. This is your chance to see and purchase works by third- and fourth-year Certificate program students and Master of Fine Arts candidates. The works in the exhibition represents the culmination of training in the Academy's disciplines of painting, drawing, sculpture, and printmaking, many of which are offered for sale at accessible prices. To summarize: Not only will the art be super cool, it will also be cheap. This is the perfect opportunity to upgrade your drab, off-white apartment walls. So stop complaining that you can’t afford something nice or classy, cancel the trip to IKEA this weekend, and head to the blow out reception on Friday, May 11. Drink some wine, chat with the artists, and lay down some bucks for something that catches your eye. Your walls will thank you. If you can’t make the big bash, the exhibit will be on view from May 12 to June 3, 2007.
