Chapterhouse Café & Gallery
It might sound trivial to some, but I prefer to drink my coffee from a real mug rather then some flimsy imposter chalice littered with the Starbucks logo. Enough with the paper products already. You can go to The Chapterhouse and get an organic, fair-trade brew in a sophisticated, nicely decorated cup. It has a handle and everything. But besides that, The Chapterhouse is delightful is many other ways. For a café, the space is huge and open. It has high ceilings, comfy chairs and benches, and great lighting (forget the dark, “I’m depressed” displays at other locales). The decoration is minimal, with white paint and clean lines, but the artwork they display comes from local artists, making this coffee house a regular hangout for creative types. There’s free Wi-Fi too. The only thing I might gripe about is that I had to hand in my mug before exiting.
