   City Planter
Chalk one up to the truth in advertising, people: City Planter is one of the most literal names I've seen for a store in quite some time. They sell planters. In the city. You know, pots. Those outdoor things you grow plants in. The store is just a big, airy room full of various-sized plant houses. I thought to myself: no, this can't be true. There has to be something more than this. Turns out I was right. According to their website, if you buy a planter from City Planter, you also have the option of talking with professional gardener, picking out a plant from a "plant menu," and getting the whole thing delivered to your door. Okay, there are some cute planters there, and I was pleasantly surprised by some of the prices. But seriously? Plant menu? Unless you have money to burn, skip the plant menu and throw some seeds in there yourself. City Planter doesn't sell plants. They don't sell dirt or tiny stones. You won't find any gardening gloves or spades. Oh, wait. Some of the planters have little fountains in them. Is that different? I'm not sure. Anyway.
