Pink Dolphin
One of the problems with urban living is the lack of nearby supermarkets. While the Pink Dolphin in Northern Liberties may not have all of the amenities of a Whole Foods, it has the ambience and character to do the neighborhood proud. With exotic types of tea and a complete selection of organic foods, The Dolphin, as my roommates and I call it, always seems to have something new. Fresh sandwiches are made to order in the back of the store, and you can even eat them at one of the tables on the premises. Plus, two words that always make me happy--breakfast sandwiches! The only negative is that the place is closed on Sundays. But that's a small sacrifice considering you can still go there the other six days of the week.
