Prairie Shores / Lake Meadows
Named after two rather imposing urban apartment complexes, this area also includes the spiritual heart of Chicago’s African–American community, Bronzeville. Spots of sparkling new townhouses are interspersed with the occasional dowdy walk–up building. Given the recent reinvestment in Burnham Park, a jaunt to consider the thriving skate park and other amenities is a fine idea.
