Hoboken
It’s only a short trip from the Village by PATH or ferry, but Hoboken feels more like an upscale college town. The salty longshoremen have moved on to that great pier in the sky, or at least to a members-only social club in town, leaving the waterfront to parkland, luxury condos, and many, many yuppies. Best bets for explorers are the raw clams at Biggies, beer and brats at Helmer’s, and margaritas at East LA.
