As the third largest institution of higher education in Washington, Bellevue Community College sends more transfer students to four-year universities than any other community college in the state. At first glance the region appears to be quiet residential suburbs, but the proximity of I-90 and I-405 can make this area hell during traffic hours, so WSDOT’s “South Bellevue Widening” project, expected to be completed by late 2009, should help relieve the headache a little bit.
