Once a light industrial area on small, sweet Lake Union, South Lake Union is undergoing massive development with high-rise condos and a biotech corridor. The jewel at the center promises to be the new 12-acre waterfront park, originally proposed 100 years ago. Seattleites apparently don’t like to rush into anything. Beware the useless novelty of the Seattle Streetcar (also known as the S.L.U.T.).
