Old Aqueduct Bridge
The DC punk/hardcore scene gets more and more mythologized with each passing year, but this of the few artifacts from that era that still stands. Granted, this ruined bridge has been overlooking the Potomac for nigh on 200 years, but from the pre-Dischord Georgetown Punks to the United 121 skinhead crew to the Tenley Punx of the last gasp 90s, most have left their mark somewhere in the more than 30 years of counterculture graffiti covering this scenic outcropping--and the bike messengers, stoners and runaways that still frequent here today are leaving more daily.
