Bird On A Wire Espresso
In a city that's swimming in coffee shops, Arbor Heights is like the desert. There's a Starbucks in Westwood Village, but no true Seattleite would buy anything from Howard Schulz after what he did to the Sonics. Bird on a Wire is a godsend. It is a tiny little place---as you stand in line you almost fall in the laps of the people at the next table---but they pull a mean espresso. They serve "Raven's Brew," a small batch roasted coffee that comes out of Alaska, have an assortment of pastries, and will ice anything you like. But what really sets them apart is the neighborliness of it all. After you go once, they'll remember you. Hell, it's so small even the people at the next table will remember you.
